BOOM SPLAT HYPE OVER!

Image
Hola hola, que onda? You wanna know a fun phrase to say in Spanish, "vente para que te pegue". Say that to your kids who are being difficult. You're probably like "hey, Andrew you have the weirdest titles EVER"!! To that I say, "yes, yes I do". It's because I'm still grasping the concept that a whole week went by. Like this week went FFAASSTT! And I'm a week older, ahh!! So as missionaries we set a lot of goals. Well we do this thing call monthly goal settings. It's where we set goals regarding our area, like how many people we're gunna start teaching and baptize and stuff. We do those at the end of the month setting goals for the next month. So like we did them this week setting goals for December. So we set the goals with our zone leaders. We'll guess what? My comp and I are the zone leaders. So there are 13 companionships in our zone not including us. So we were doing like 4-5 of these little hour ish long meetings almost eve...

QUE EN EL MUNDO!

WHAT'S UP PARTY PEOPLE! ! OK, so Tuesday was transfer day. But you see I had an ENT appointment there in Santa Maria on Wednesday. So it didn't make sense for me to leave on Tuesday go two hours down to Oxnard, to drive back up on Wednesday to just turn around and go all the way back to Oxnard (my new area). So what I ended up doing, is I was in a trio with the Zone Leaders there in Santa Maria for Tuesday and Wednesday morn. It was really fun! Wednesday, I had the ENT appointment in the morn. It went OK. Then we did a lot of driving. We had to make a stop in Santa Barbara to pick up a bike rack. When we finally get to Oxnard, I met my new comp and ya the craziness started.  My comps name is Elder Oldham. He's from Spanish Fork it and he's 6"7'. He's pretty cool! Oh ya, the APs are in our zone. I'm still getting used to seeing them and President all the time.  So ya Wednesday. We had this video call with this 11 year old kid named Danny. We have our les...

I'm Out!

Well, this is the end. We have reached the end of another transfer. This transfer went really fast! I'm kinda shocked!  This week has gone pretty well! We started teaching 6 new people! We started teaching this family of 5. They are so cool and humble! They were all engaged in the lesson and really paid attention to what we were saying. There's another guy named Jose he's cool too.  Our friend Higinio is kinda stale right now. We feel like he is moving backwards.  So the other day we had a lesson with our Fried Ana. We were walking away after the lesson and she calls us. She said the home owner Maria (who lives there as well) was causing her (Ana) of bashing with us and saying we worship Joseph Smith. (Totaly not true, Ana was backing us a ton in our lesson. She said "a lot of people don't understand your religion and beliefs so I want to help them understand'). So Ana asked if we can come back to the house to talk to Maria and clear up some stuff. So we went b...

New Friends And Drunk Dudes

OK everyone, I bet you can't wait to read this one based on the title Well, me neither!  So we had a good week!  So last Monday night we had this really good spiritual lesson with these investigators we are teaching. We reviewed baptism and stuff. It was really good. They were crying at the end of the lesson. No joke the spirit was there and testifying of the truthfullness of this stuff.  The next day we had some lessons fall, but we did a lot of talking to people outside. Basicly, there is this big long main road call Broadway. And there are like 3 or 4 food trucks on Broadway. Ya know, Mexican food. So all these Latinos are at these trucks getting food. Well they have to wait for the food to be ready. That's where we come in. We just walk along Broadway and talk to these Latinos waiting for their food. Sometimes people just run away from us on the streets, but these people can't leave, because their food. So it was like a game. Have a good conversation. Set up a visit a...

How are you all doing? It's good to talk to you all again! I feel like the weeks are such a blur! Let's start with the elaphant in te room. WE HAD HALLOWEEN! Listen up. I love Halloween! I'm gunna be honest, my Halloween didn't feel as much like Halloween growing up or even compared to last year. It was still Pretty good. On Saturday, our branch and one of the English wards did a combined truck or treat. It was fun! There was lots of good soup and food! The soup reminded me of home. There was a member from the English ward that was convinced that I was not actually a missionary, just a guy with a good costume, haha! Halloween day was good. We just had church and Pretty normal stuff. We did see some people trick or treeting as we were having a lesson in a guy's garage. Anyways, I hope you all had a great Halloween and you all enjoyed the best time of the year!  OK so heres a cool thing. We had a lesson with this new lady named Ana. She opened up right away to us and ...
