It's Been A While!!

Image
Hey everyone, I know I just talked to you and you're like, "Elder Felsted again?". Ya well here I am. It's normal preparation day again. So like I said I my voice recording, these last few weeks have been fast! Just some lessons and some administrative stuff. I hope you all had an AWESOME Christmas!!!! I sure did! Kinda sad it's over. Well yesterday was pretty great! We had church. I gave a little talk. All 10 of us missionaries in the ward sung Christmas hymns. A member (the ward mission leader and his daughter) invited us all over to watch "The Nativity Story". It's a movie that tells the story of Jesus's birth. But not only that, it gives a lot of background of what's going on at the time and more context. Parts of it are kinda weird and a bit graphic and not totally Biblicly correct, but overall it's good and I learned a bit. It was cool to see everything visually rather than just reading. Anyway, then we did a few things and another ...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everybody. I hope you are all doing well and having a merry, merry, happy Christmas. So basically, I'm sending a voice recording today because it's been a while and I don't particularly feel like typing out a big long email or anything like that. And honestly, it's been kind of similar stuff happening. So I didn't write on Monday because preparation day was changed from Monday to today. So Monday was kind of a normal day.     It was a little weird. It was like a day we would get chores day, but don't talk to family or call or anything like that, so or write emails. But anyway, so that's why I'm sending this out today. But. Let's see.      So Christmas here has been super cool. It's been fun. Had a great time. Honestly, it doesn't really feel quite like Christmas because it's not snowing, the weather's the same as it always is. It's been a little bit, it's been pretty rainy lately, actually. It's been super...

ITS JUST ISH!!

Hhaayy HHeeyy Hhayy whats goin on everyone! Como estan! It's good to address you  all again! I hope you all had a FANTASTIC WEEk!! Ok lets start with the title. So The other day we were walking around outside, ya know talking to people. Well, there was this lady and her kid on their lawn. So we stopped on the sidewalk to talk to her. She was pretty nice. Just a pretty normal conversation. (In Spanish) We were talking, when all of a sudden this biggish dude (not like tall big) comes out of the house. He has that walk going, you know the "big scary guy walk". Well he comes over and says in English, "THIS FAMILY IS CATHOLIC, AND WERE NOT INTERESTED" We're like "ok no worries, what's your name?" He replies "ISH". My comp chuckles. Elder Oldham asks "where does that come from?". He says, "IT'S JUST ISH!" Too bad because the lady seemed nice. So we had MLC this week, which is a meeting with almost all the leaders in ...

Hello wonderful people! It's that time of the year again,  can you believe Christmas is here again! I remember last Christmas pretty vividly, it was like just the other day! And it's my last one here on the mission. Crazy! Well this week was pretty busy. We went on 3 exchanges. We ate a lot of Mexican food! We made to go to the mission office a couple times to pick up and drop off stuff. We rearranged our apartment. We set up some Christmas decorations my parents sent me. We had to do these things called stake reports. Such a grind! And then we had to deal with all off our flakey people we're teaching. I have an idea I wanna try. I'll do a few highlights from each day. Monday: . Volleyball with the zone at the park . Started teaching Octaviano, he played some guitar for us  Tuesday: . Watched 17 Miracles during lunch . Exchange with Elder Marks in his area in Camario  . We taught a lady who wants to be baptized, but is dealing with some health problems (luckily no cance...
