ITS JUST ISH!!

Hhaayy HHeeyy Hhayy whats goin on everyone! Como estan! It's good to address you  all again! I hope you all had a FANTASTIC WEEk!!

Ok lets start with the title. So The other day we were walking around outside, ya know talking to people. Well, there was this lady and her kid on their lawn. So we stopped on the sidewalk to talk to her. She was pretty nice. Just a pretty normal conversation. (In Spanish) We were talking, when all of a sudden this biggish dude (not like tall big) comes out of the house. He has that walk going, you know the "big scary guy walk". Well he comes over and says in English, "THIS FAMILY IS CATHOLIC, AND WERE NOT INTERESTED" We're like "ok no worries, what's your name?" He replies "ISH". My comp chuckles. Elder Oldham asks "where does that come from?". He says, "IT'S JUST ISH!" Too bad because the lady seemed nice.

So we had MLC this week, which is a meeting with almost all the leaders in the mission. So it was good to see everyone! Also they provide lunch, so that's awesome! All  the zone leaders in the meeting just talk a little about how their zones are doing, and then we talk about the needs of the mission with some discussions. It was good, but felt long.

We have also had a LOT of rejection and lessons fall through. The work is pretty rough right now. Pretty much everyone we are teaching except for Jose are either not interested any more or unresponsive. So we're gunna have to clean out our teaching pool. We've been going hard with trying to find more people in the streets and stuff. Like we had a lesson the other day with this lady we are teaching named Viviana. She wasn't home. We called her and she's like "we're at the Catholic church right now. Apparently there is this event at the Catholic church around Chistmass time called "Alabar al Virgen de Guadalupe ''. Which means "worship the virgin of Guadalupe '' or "worship Mary ''. That's where Viviana was. Were like "NOO, we were gunna watch 'the christ child video' with you, wouldn't you rather worship Jesus. Also. the other day we were just walking around, and we stopped to talk to this lady, in English, she politely declined us by saying "I actually believe in Satan". Walking away I was thinking "but you too nice to believe in Satan.

We had service the other morning. The member made us breakfast, latino style. Eggs with tortillas and crema. (Mexican sour cream, but not soure at all, just cream). It was way good!! That afternoon we did more service for another member. He bought us pizza. After sports that night, Elder Oldham and I went to blenders with this guy that the Hermanas are teaching named "Eber". He is so cool! He's so funny! He offered to pay. He wipes out a Bengi. The cashier is like "ahh, do you have anything smaller". Eber is like "no". Haha! Eber actually got baptized yesterday. He was having some doubts at the beginning of the week. But later, the hermanas told me and Elder Oldham that our blenders outing with him really helped him. We didn't even talk gospel stuff at all! We just went as friends, which is what I think these people need sometimes.

We had some good exchanges this week. Lots of eating out haha (exchange must). I was on exchange with a new missionary named Elder Kofford. He's 5'5". He's resigned from Mozambique Africa Portuguese speaking. So I took him out for Mexican food for dinner. He's like "I haven't had tacos for a little bit". I'm like "tacos, burritos, and quesadillas are my life". That night we met up at the church with a member and a lot of the zone to sing happy birthday to Hermana Christensen. There was a lot of Cake and cookies.

So we did a zone swap after CDC. A zone swap is basically just an exchange but with anyone in the zone instead of just your district. It was good. Wihite people are sooo rude!!!!!!!!! So I went with Elder Herget. Like we talked to lots of people outside. They all just walked right by us, or were very short with us. It was rough. Hats off to white missionaries. We had a member visit. This member looked at me and said "you look like you just got off the bus ... are you knew?" I was like "kinda". That night we met back up as a zone at the church and shared some miracles of the day. It was a party!

Eber's baptism was awesome! So the baptism was going on at the same time as the English wards party. So that means there was a lot of leftover food! There were some missionaries there I hadn't seen for a bit, so that was good to catch up a bit. Sang happy birthday again to one of the missionaries. Tonight we had to go jump the YSA sister's car, so that was fun.

Sunday was great! So the member who had us for dinner could only do 2 o'clock, so we made that our lunch. I ate a lot! I was so full! It was really good though. And then that night, there was a christmas concert in the park for the community. We got Jose to come so that was awesome!!!

And ahh that's about it. Crazy week! Very fast!

I love and miss you all!!!
