Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everybody. I hope you are all doing well and having a merry, merry, happy Christmas. So basically, I'm sending a voice recording today because it's been a while and I don't particularly feel like typing out a big long email or anything like that. And honestly, it's been kind of similar stuff happening. So I didn't write on Monday because preparation day was changed from Monday to today. So Monday was kind of a normal day.

It was a little weird. It was like a day we would get chores day, but don't talk to family or call or anything like that, so or write emails. But anyway, so that's why I'm sending this out today. But. Let's see.

So Christmas here has been super cool. It's been fun. Had a great time. Honestly, it doesn't really feel quite like Christmas because it's not snowing, the weather's the same as it always is. It's been a little bit, it's been pretty rainy lately, actually. It's been super rainy. But. The rain is not snow. So.

But. Today was awesome. We just got up this morning and opened our presents with some of the elders or the presents that our parents sent us. And then we went to the church. We met up as a zone and had a zone breakfast, which was way fun. Just up some eggs and sausage and bacon and hash browns and waffles. And it was so much fun. And then we did a white elephant exchange as a district. Not as a district. Sorry, as a zone. All 28 of us. So all three districts. And it was a party. It was so much fun. We had a great time. And. Yeah. So basically. Oh, and also tonight, we're going to go meet up with a member at a buffet. So that'll be super exciting. But yesterday was pretty cool, too. It was just like a normal day for the most part. But my companion and I, Elder Oldham and I, we decided to go to Red Lobster for dinner, just he and I. And it was so fun. It was. It was awesome. It was really good. But I don't know, maybe it's just. I haven't had seafood for a while or I'm not used to it, but, like, it was good. But it just, just wrecked me. My. Yeah. My stomach did not feel well. It did not sit well with me. But it was pretty good. It was fun. It was a good, good, fun outing with a good time. And it's all good now.

But this week has been pretty good as far as lessons have gone. We're teaching the Losido family. They're doing pretty well. They live in an RV, which is kind of tough. And it's a family of like, I think it's a family of five, but I think there's eight that live there. So it's either 5 to 8 people living in this RV, which it's not a small RV, but it's not a very big RV either. So there's them. And then there's Jose Lopez. He's a 19 year old. It's kind of a cholo, but he's super cool. He lives in like, a like the upstairs apartment of a garage. Anyway, he's cool. And we just picked up another family. They're pretty cool. I started teaching them, but the kids are crazy, so. Might stop teaching them. Then there's one more family who's pretty cool. Pretty good.

But anyway, um, the other day we had our, well, actually, this was last week. We had our ward Christmas party with our Spanish ward here, the El Camino Real Ward. It was so much fun. Elder Oldham and I put up a thing on Facebook to see if we could get anyone to come. And we got a lot of like nonmembers from Facebook to come. So that's really awesome. And hopefully we're going to start teaching them soon.

Also, we had zone conference this week, Christmas zone conference, which is so fun. They did half the mission at a time, so like to zone conferences. And then I was like the northern half and then the southern half. So since we're in the south of the mission, we did the second zone conference and it was so much fun. They had, it was really cool. They did it in the gym and all of us, all the chairs were like in a circle. Like two circles, one like inner circle and an outer circle. So it was really fun. It was more like a discussion. Every district was in charge of like this theme, and they give, they talked about it and gave scriptures and then like a musical number, a Christmas hymn. So it was really fun. And then they had all the Christmas packages that were sent from parents all lined up by zones. So Elder older and I got to play Santa for our zone, which was so much fun. It was a blast. And unfortunately, Zone conference was the last day for this senior couple, the Elder and Sister Lee. They’re a senior couple here and they they're awesome. And I'll put a picture in with of them. But it was so good. They gave us like a. Bit like a Christmas dinner, but for lunch, right. With ham and mashed potatoes and stuffing and roles and that kind of stuff. So that was really good.

But other than that, it's been pretty pretty normal stuff. We've been really busy this week just with goal settings and getting ready for the new month. And we have transfers coming up on Tuesday. So that's crazy. But it's been good. It's just been busy. Just tired a lot. But we're chillin. It's all so good. Yeah, it's kind of weird.

I was thinking about how I only have about six months left, and that's kind of crazy. It doesn't. I don't know about all of you, but it doesn't really feel like I been on that long. I mean, it does feel like I've been out a long time. Like, I think about it and like, Wow, I've been out a really long time. Like, also, it's gone so fast. It's kind of crazy. Like, I remember last Christmas, like. Like it was yesterday. Honestly, it's so weird. And, like, we did a district breakfast for my last Christmas, so that's what kind of sparked the idea to do a zone breakfast. So, but it's so much fun. I'm so glad we did it. Our zone is so awesome. I love our zone. It was so much fun. Our breakfast and our white elephant exchange was so, so fun and everyone, you know did a great job cooking and got it all cleaned up super fast. It was, it's super fun. So we're all just here chillin at the church. And. Let's see here. I think, oh, we also had some exchanges, more exchanges. Elder Oldham and I have done an exchange with every single elder in our, every single elder companionship in our zone. So that's been really fun. It was a lot. It was a lot of exchanges. But it was really fun. Really fun. So I'll put in some pictures of exchanges and yeah, it's super, super good stuff that's been happening. I got to see a lot of missionaries from Zone Conference that I haven't seen for a little bit. It was down in Thousand Oaks where I, I started my mission. So that was really fun. But yeah, we've just been doing fun Christmas activities. There was a fun Christmas photoshoot that our district did a couple of weeks ago. I think I sent pictures of that Christmas concert was super fun. Christmas is a good time, so I hope you're all doing well. I was, like I said, I'll send some pictures of me with Santa at our Christmas party, our ward Christmas party, pictures of Red Lobster and pictures from people at zone Conference and the Lees and yeah, lots of good stuff, but hope you all have a wonderful day, a very merry Christmas and I love you all. And miss you. But we'll talk to you on Monday I guess. Kind of strange, preparation day today, then again on Monday. But have an awesome day everybody. Love you, bye-bye, feliz navidad!
