Crasharoo And Exchanges

Image
Hello everyone! Good to talk to you all again! Well, this will probably another shorter one.  Well we had a good week. It kinda felt long and quick and exiting and fun! We had lots of exchanges this week. With some elders in our district and with the zone leaders.  Let me tell you a bit about my exchange with the ZL. So the ZLs and us are in trios, so basicly just I switched with one of the ZLs for the day. So I was with Elder Knowdeshe and his trainie Elder Keffer. It was going well and pretty fun. Even though we were in their area I drove because you can't drive in your first transfer, like Elder Keffer, or in your last transfer, like Elder Knowdeshe. So I got to drive their rav 4 (which used to be my rav). The ravs are so nice. It was awesome! Well Elder Knowdeshe made some awesome ham and cheese sliders for lunch. Everything was going great. Then we went to go park in this lot to go visit someone. It was one of those weird diagonal parking lots. So we flipped around to par...

Temple And The New Peeps

Image
Hello everyone, I'm kinda short on time so this will be fast!  A couple things happened this week but I wanna tell you about 3 things.  Fisrt. We went to the Temple! We got up early on Wednesday, met at the church and took a bus down to LA with our soñé and the SLO zone. It was about a 3-4 hour ride. This was my first time doing a proxy endowment. My greenie had been a lot in the MTC (He went in person) so he had to show me how it's done. Life of a covid missionary. Anyways, the temple is so AMAZING!! What a great spiritual, uplifting experience! I'm so grateful I got to go! Thing number 2 This transfer so far has been pretty tough as far as finding new people to teach. It's honestly a little discouraging. Well last night we had some time to find. So we go knock on the door of this guy I met a couple months ago. He let's us right in. His wife and the other people living there are so nice. There are 4 of them who all sit down in the living room with us, give us some ...

Transfers, A Blessing, And Meetings

Image
Hello everyone! How are you all doing!? Send me an email, I'd love to hear from you!  Well this week was just a little crazy! So as I told you all last week, I'm the district leader and am training and am follow up training. So far it's been alright. I little stressful. Lots of leadership meetings.  My new trainie is cool. His name is Elder Wilcox. He's from Ogden. He did two weeks of home MTC and 4 weeks at the Provo MTC. Kinda interesting. It sounds like that's what they're doing now with these new missionaries. I think it helped him adjust well to the mission. His Spanish is realy good too.  The other day we were going to park on the street in this neighborhood. This dude asked us to move forward a little so he could park in there too. I was still in our car so I couldn't see or hear him, but Elder Burkhart and Wilcox were out on the sidewalk and they all of a sudden told me to drive away "we're not parking here". Again I didn't hear thi...

I'm Awake

Well eveyone here we are again. Every time I write one of these I'm like well here we are, what to write.  Well I'll tell you what I'm gunna write about. I'm going to write about this craazzzy weekend!  So at the beginning of the week, we started teaching a new guy that we just met on the streets. We also started teaching a guy who lives with an inactive recent convert and his inactive wife. So we have some work to do in that house.  OK so Thursday night a member had us over to make home made pizza. They were so good! She is a wizzard in the kitchen. Friday was crazy. We had the last district council of the transfer. We went to Panda Friday (a tradition we do, we go to panda Express for  lunch. It's called fortune Friday because the fortune cookies will tell us what is happening with transfers). We then had food bank. That evening we had Eloy and Marias party to celebrate their Marriage and baptism. The branch (the relief society) put it all together. It went really...
