Temple, HEAT STROKE, Broken Window, And Skitsophrainia
Hey everyone, hope you all had a great week! I sure did! Well as you all know because I'm sure you all have it on your calendars, this was my last week. I leave on Wednesday. My homecoming will be on Sunday, June 26th at 10:30 am. Please come.
So let's go in order of the title even though it's not in chronological order.
All the departing missionaries go to the temple the last week. So we drove down Wednesday evening to stay in Ventura with some of the senior missionaries, and then went Thursday morning down to LA. That was really awesome! I stayed with the Wilson's alone. No comp. Just me and Elder and Sister Wilson. Thursday morn we drove in the van driven by the other Wilsons south to pick up another one of the missionaries from Simi Valley, then kept going south to LA. The temple was awesome! Every time I go, it's a different experience. It's cool and interesting! Afterwards we went to this really nice EXPENSIVE steak house! It was really good, but it felt pretty out of place for the missionary lifestyle and budget. But it was really fun!
I spent a lot of time in the car with other departing missionaries, so it was kind of Strange to be talking about plans after the mission, and what we were excited for, and burning a suit and all that. But again it was good. There is an Elder named Elder Billings. We came in together and started in the same zone. He's been to Russia and back and we're in the same zone again to finish it off. He's realy cool. We had a lot of driving time to talk.
It was SSSOOOO HHHOOOOTTTT this week!!!!! And we did A TON of walking and biking!
A recent convert we went to visit wasn't home. His wife said that his car window was broken in to and they stole stuff :(
A lady we are teaching has an identical twin with schizophrenia. It's kinda scary. She swears a lot. Walks around yelling at nothing. She thinks people are out to get her. They lock her out of the house.
The other day we went over. The sister told us that she was Jocylene (the one we were teaching). She was putting foundation makeup on around her face and climbing on the fence. It was scary. We left.
I burned a suit this week with Elder Billings to celebrate 2 years!
Anyways, I love you all!
Well see you soon!
