What Was His Name Again? GO ON A MISSION!

WHAT IS GOING ON EVERYONE!

Si were gunna start with a story to explain the first part.

So yesterday we were going to a lesson. We get out of our car and start talking to this dude who was just hanging out outside his house. He was cool. We talked to him for a sec outside. He invited us in to talk a bit. We tried to teach him a bit, but mostly we just talked. Well kind of at the end of our chat we asked him if he had anything to eat. He said (all in SPA BTW) "You guys cook right?" We said yes. He got out some Tortillas and we made quesadillas. Well at one point he went to go grab something. He had two open Bud Lights on the kitchen table. I quickly dumped one in the sink, and Elder Teichert refilled it with water. I went to dump the other when he was coming back. Well I accidentally spilled it. Luckily it was on hard wood and the dude was really cool and chill. Well we finally leave after probably like more than an hour. We got to the car and Elder Teichert asked "what was his name again" I'm like "we never got his name" haha! Latinos are so funny!

So we had interviews with president this week. Those were pretty good! At first President didn't believe that I only have one more transfer. Its crazy, cuz I was one of his first missionaries because we both started the same day. He told me he's going to take me out of zone leader my last transfer. That's good and bad.

So, WE HAD GENERAL CONFERENCE! It was so good!! So this is where the "go on a mission part comes from". Missions were quite a BIG theme of conference. Missionaries are needed! If you can and have even a small desire or even if you don't, consider it. Here are some stats. Our mission last year during covid we had 250-260 missionaries. Now we have less than 150. Next transfer we are loosing 9 and only getting 1. Areas in our mission are closing. Our president is considering doing a mission wide fast for more missionaries. I loved the idea that they talked about in conference, that you don't need a name tag to be a missionary. Everyone is a missionary and we need to all "love, share, and invite". It can be small things. Honestly small things are what usually builds stronger testimonies and desires in people over time. Things like, sharing a scripture and or testimony, doing service, just talking and visiting people, being a good example, etc.

So the Saturday morning session, just elder Teichert and I watched it at our apartment on the phone. We made French toast! It was so good! I'll attach a picture. We watched the Saturday afternoon session with a part member couple we are teaching. I think they liked it a lot. It was a fire session! Sunday morning, we watched with someone we are teaching. It was awesome! Her pareja got us McDonald's. Sunday afternoon, we watched at the church with the district, (other missionaries). It was great!

Wow! Conference was AMAZING!!!! It's Pretty clear all the speakers are inspired by God! I'm so greafull for the prophet Russell M Nelson, his counselors, the Quorum of the Twelve, and all the other leaders and general authorities of the Church. We are truly led by The Lord.

I love you all, and hope you all had a great conference weekend! If you didn't get to watch, go watch it on the  gospel library app, or go re-watch them!
