Lots Of ROCKS!

So the other day Elder Teichurt and I were playing missionary and walking around the streets of good old Santa Maria. We talked (in English) to this old dude in front of his house. He started telling us about his rock collection. We asked if we could see some. He's like "OK, let me get the keys". We were thinking "oh he probably just has a box in his car". No, he takes us into the detached garage that he transformed into a museum. He had rocks and fossils and shark and saber tooth tiger teeth and petrified poop. I'll attach a bunch of pictures.

I made some more crockpot Macaroni. It was good.

We got some good member meals this week!

We started teaching this really cool couple. They said they have been looking to come back to church. We started teaching the 9 year old son of a recent convert. There's another cool guy we started teaching named Luis. So back almost a year ago when I was here in Santa Maria, Elder Sayre and I were teaching Luis's brother Gerardo. Well Luis reached out to Elder Sayre (who's home now) on face book saying that he wanted to come closer to God again. Then Elder Sayre sent me a FB message. And that's how we picked up Luis. Luis asked if we could write him a recommendation to not get deported. Unfortunately we can not do that. Our budy David, who we have been teaching for a while, told us he went to drink coffee the other day and then as he had it up he remembered and threw it away! What a beast!

So the other day I finished the Book of Mormon again. As I was finishing up the last chapter, I could just feel the truthfulness of its words just penitrait my soul. I got shivers just reading Moroni 10! I just want to testify to all you readers out there, that the Book of Mormon is true. It is the word of God. It was written by prophets in the ancient Americas. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon, read it and pray about it. If you have read it, read it again. Keep learning from it. You can't max out on Book of Mormon knowledge.

I started listening to Saints this week. Saints is a book that the church has put together about the history of the Church. It's pretty good! Put it on the "to read" list.

So Sunday was cool. After church, the branch had lunch for us all. Then at 2 President Nelson gave a message for only California! We watched it there at the church. It was so good! Here is some more of my testimony. President Nelson is a prophet of God. He speaks with God directly so that we can better be guided by God in these Latter-days. I love President Nelson and am so grateful for him and his wife Sister Nelson. I am grateful that God has and continues to call prophets to guide the church.

Thanks for reading my somewhat random email.

I love you all!
