Crazy! New Members! Big Scare!
Hello everyone, how are you all doing?!
Well this has been a long week.
I'll start with the big scare at the beginning of the week. We were walking on the sidewalk one night. Elder Burkhart thought these truck tires were cool, so he went over to the truck in the driveway. Three big dudes came running out of the house. I was like ah oh. They thought he was trying to break in. Luckily Elder Burkhart just explained that he thought the truck looked cool and it was all good.
We had Zone conference on Tuesday. That went well! Zone conference is always great! I love listening to president Carter! My two last companions who are now companions were at the zone conference. So I got to see them.
Well we we went to a members house te other day to print the programs for the baptizm, Well we got to the members house and she showed us her new printer. We asked if it was hooked up to a computer or a phone or something. She's like nope. We'll so we tried to get it set up to her old slow computer. Well we finally got it hooked up to her phone and it would only print pictures on her phone. So we spent like 2 hours trying to do this. Well we at least helped her be able to print her pictures. She then sent us to her daughter's house to print these programs. Well we got them to print, but they kept coming out weird and upside down. We eventually had to go because we had a lesson. The next day we had food bank, so we asked the zone leaders to try and print them at the church. Well they didn't get to it I guess. So the afternoon of the baptizm Elder Burkhart and I finally get them printed at the church.
Saturday night was crazy. It took us 5 ever to find a key to the baptizmal font. That was stressful. Getting the zoom to work was a little stressful. Well it was finally all good. Eloy and Maria were baptized! I got to baptize Eloy and Elder Burkhart baptized Maria. It was a very special experience for them and us. We had a good turn out. Lots of members and other people that the other missionaries in the branch are teaching. The next day at church President Castrejon and Hermano Dolan confirmed Eloy and Maria. Again so amazing to see Eloy and Maria finally be able to join the church after all this processes of getting the ID, getting married, dealing with member drama, planning the baptizm, etc.
I love Eloy and Maria and I am so proud of them! They are so happy and are so dedicated to God and doing what is right!
Well, I love and miss all of you lots! Thanks for all the prayers and emails!
