I'm Not Dead Yet
Hello everybody! How are you?.... Good to be here.
Well let me tell you, this week flew by! Like what just happened?
So "I'm not dead yet" is a song by Jen Ledger. I don't know why but as I sat down to write this email that song just popped into my head. So I was thinking about how it could relate to my week and I decided sure why not.
Speaking of songs and Music. We had a member visit last Monday night. This couple is very into music! They like lots of music, but they love my kind of music! So we talked a lot about music and bands and concerts and stuff. We had s'mores. I love s'mores! I ate 6! Which I definetly regretted the next day. Of course we shared a great scripture too. John 15:12-13. VERRY good scriptures about love. Highly recommended.
So I know your all dying to know what happened with Eloy and Maria as far as them getting married. So They need an ID right to buy the license. It was a hastle but I finally got to talk to a real person (not a robot) at the DMV over the phone. He said "you do not need a social security # to get and ID at the DMV, but you need to show a work permit or visa to show that you are here in California in the U.S. Legally at least temporarily. You can get a driver's license being illegal in California but it soes not count as a valid ID, It will say on the driver's license 'not a valid form of ID". Kinda strange huh. Like you can vote and be illegal, you can drive and be illegal. But you can't get married unless your Mexico ID is up to date or if the Mexico embassy would ever answer the phone to renew their Mexican IDs. I know, kind of a mess right, but it's my mess.
We were in a trio for a day. It's a long story why. Elder Ozuna was with us for the day. He was my comp back in Moor Park. So I had two native companions for the day.
