A Little Bit Diferent

So first week with a new companion!

So there are two Elders in our zone who asked Elder Ozuna and I to como to a visit with them with one of their investigators. (English visit) So the 4 of us are at this park with this dude named Jose. wow Jose can go from one topic to the next very quickly. We were talking about our life here on earth and then somehow he got to talking about directors and then movies and then he said "lots of people love Harry Potter but I don't. God is not like Harry Potter,  Harry Potter is just some kid with Glasses". Then IDK how he got to this but he started talking about how he likes water and on and on.... Ya he was actually pretty funny. He was cool. 

I read some cool stuff the other day. 

Alma 26: This is Ammon (son of Mosiah) who is on a mission teaching the Nephites 

Versus 11-12 specifically 

11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.

12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever

Alma 29:9-10: This is Alma the younger on his mission at the same time as Ammon just in another area

9 I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.

10 And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember what the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me.

I love these verses because both Ammon and Alma are so humble. They both give glory and thank God. They are both such amazing missionaries. I definetly want to be like them! 

John 14: Jesus is seeking to His people. The whole chapter is great here's a few that stood out. 

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Basically telling us He wants to bless us. He will comfort us. 

15. If ye love me, keep my comments

Wow that's a great scripture. Pretty self explanatory. Simple if we love Him keep His commandments. 

For transfers on Tuesday my companion is Elder Ozuna and we're opening up a Spanish unit in Moor park.
