Promise Land And Weed

Story 1:

The other night Elder Ogden wanted some chocolate milk (it's called "promise land" very good) So we were looking for somewhere open after 9. So we were in a parking lot trying to figure out where to go, we get a call back from someone on fb. We'll I'm trying to talk to him in Spanish. The other three elders are talking about what grosery store is open so it was tricky to hear. Spanish is hard enough. He asked me if I spoke good Spanish. But we set up a visit for Tuesday. We were walking back in to our apartment and our neighbor is like "why you up so late". "milk and cookies run" "well if you wanna come smoke some weed come on up" 

2: on Tuesday we had exchanges with the ZLs so the 4 of us went out for sushi. It was easy good! It was also Elder Langfords 1st time eating sushi so watching him with chop sticks was pretty funny! 

OK this week went fast. 

Thanksgiving was good. We picked up some food from a member and the 4 of us ate at our apt, but that was at like 12:30 so it was Thanksgiving lunch. For dinner the 4 of us went to this nice restaurant in Westlake. I got a delicious steak. Mama Myers paid. So that was fun and delicious! So yes kinda bummed we didn't get to eat with a member but it was still a good fun day!

Doing thankfull posts this week had been so cool! Being thankful is so important. Think about it if your kid tells you thank you for taking us out to dinner you are more inclined to take them out again VS if they don't say thanks. Same idea with our Heavenly Father. If we express gratitude it tells Him that we are grateful and we regognize Him in our lives and therefore He will bless us more. 

We started teaching someone name Ramon (he's the one who is always asleep whenever we have tried to go to his house in the past). He talks a lot we have had 2 visits with him. The first was just Elder Ogden and I. Combined we got probably 7 minutes out of an hour of talking time and understood combined like 2.2% of what he said. 2nd visit we brought a member. Out of an hour we got like 3 mins of talking time. He just speaks extremely fast and slurs so it sounds like 1 mumbled word. 

Fabricio is going strong to his date Dec 20. His brother came to one of our visit. Leo bore a fire testimony to Fabricio. Pray that Fabricio can cut coffee for good. 

Leo walked an hour to our zoom church. He's so cool! For having only been baptized 2 weeks he is a spiritual giant!
