Did Not Think Cali Got So Cold

Wow it got cold this week! Like cold and windy! We had a member dinner at In-N-Out burger. We ate outside. I had a jacket and it was still a little cold. The other elders didn't have a jacket so that was kinda funny. 

OK here's a funny story. 

So I've told y'all about my neighbor. Phil. Who drives the Corvette, a 2500 Chevrolet, has like 5 girlfriends, smokes weed. Well he gives us leftovers every now and then. The other day we came home to leftover Chinese take out on our porch.

We started teaching Leo last Sunday. Except yesterday, we had a visit with him every day this week. The Spirit is strong with him. He is so prepared. He is also very repentant. Our 1st visit was a pass okf lesson from/with the Hermanas.

So yesterday we were planning on having a visit that night with Jaime. He said it was too cold to bike over to the church. Now ya it was pretty cold and dark out, but Edwardo, his cousin he lives with, did it. Anyway, remember Juan who we baptized a week ago. So we wanted him to come to our visit with Jaime at the church. So we called Juan at like 7 and asked him if he could. He said he was sleeping maybe another day. So at like 8:15 at that point we still weren't sure if Jaime was coming. So at 8:15 ish we get a call from Juan. He said he was on his bike and he'd be at the church in a couple minutes. We're like what in the world. A few minutes later there he is. A few minutes later Edward comes to the church as well. So the other elders who are teaching Edwardo also invited a member to their visit. But that member couldn't make it. So there they were without their member, and here we were without our investigator. So we just had a visit all 6 of us. Juan gave a fire testimony about The Holy Ghost! Edwardo agreed to be baptized on Saturday! The spirit was present and strong. I know we all could feel it. Edwardo has had some family opposition about baptizm. So he's known and wanted baptizm for a while now but last night he's like "well sometimes you just need to make decisions for yourself".

Now let's talk about Juan. He was AMAZING! He was so attentive and participating in the lesson! He is so much happier! He had a smile the whole time! He made eye contact! He looks physically different! I know 100% that The Holy Ghost completely changed Him! The Holy Ghost is real and can change lives!! My testimony of that has grown of The Holy Ghost a lot in just that one visit!
