No More Flavored Tabaco

So when we were walking back to our car from shopping this morning someone stopped us and wanted us to sign a patition and vote against flavored tabaco, also he told us that our church members were great but our leaders were not. He was an interesting character.

So it was a pretty full busy week.

First off let's just say that conference was AMAZING! If I had to choose two favorite talks, I would say President Nelson's talk about gathering Israel which means "let God prevail". Always remembering Him. Making Him the center of our lives. And the one about angels is our lives I don't remember who it's was by, but it was amazing! I know there are angels who walk among us. I have had experiences that 100% prove that. I think most or all of you know what I'm thinking. We watched both morning sessions at the church with our district, and both afternoon sessions with the same member and his family. It reminded me a little bit of watching conference at home, some good food haha. We got Juan to watch a session. We arranged for a recent convert to pick up Juan and take him to another members house were they all watched the Sunday morning session.

We were walking from our parked car to a member visit the other day, and a homeless lady on a bench stopped us. First weird thing, it was like a million degrees out and she had blanket over her. She asked us if we knew Hebrew. Then she went off about how she was a Hebrew teacher and she had all these interpretation of the Bible and some deep thoughts and who knows what else. We were already a little late to our the member visit now, like 45 mins late. Then we met with the member and she started telling us about how bad the world was and how many kids were in jail. Anyway most pesimistic member. OK so we were walking back to the car after that weird visit and you guessed it, homeless lady was there ready to talk to us for another 25 minutes. She asked us if there was a Bible study group for her to join.

The other day we loaned the car to the other elders cuz they had 3 visits right after each other so ya. We had one member visit  later and we were gunna get a ride from the ZLs but they never answered. So we took the bikes from the others elders. Thst was a different experience.

The cousins Jaime and Edwardo are still doing well. Edwardo's bike was stolen earlier this week and they had a move and late work nights, so we didn't meet with them every night, but the other day Elder Kjare, Brown, Ogden, Edwardo, Jamie, a member and I all read 1 Nephi 1 together, that was cool.

Please read/listen to the following talk - "Finding Joy in Sharing the Gospel" by Christina B. Franco. So inspiring. The highs of missionary work are so much higher than the lows.

This email is long enough.
Love yall thanks for the emails.
