I Just Couldn't Give Up Chocolate

Welcome aboard everybody this is Elder Felsted speaking. Sit back relax eat some peanuts, and listen to this great typical week of a missionary serving in "The Great California Ventura Mission". 

So let me explain the title of this email. Elder Ogdenn and I where talking to someone at the park the other day. After some talking about whatever, we asked if he had ever talked to missionaries before,. He said ya Mormons are supper nice, but "I told the last missionaries there's things I just couldn't give up like beer and chocolate. "

I had a great birthday on Friday! We had district council that day so the whole district sang, and the District leader brought a bag of airheads, gave everyone one and the rest of the bag to me. Elder Ogden and I went to P and L burger for lunch. It was a pretty normally day except that night, the district leaders, and the trio that lives near us came over to our apartment. We had some cheese cake, brownies (from the sister/hermanas and the DLs), and jalapeno limeade that the trio got me. I also opened the box my parents sent me. It was way fun! The other elders are awesome and halariouse! Like 40 minutes after everyone left the zone leaders finally came home

On Tuesday two zones met down in Oxnard and we had some training type stuff and listening to Pres and Sis Carter. We also had interviews with Pres Carter. That was fun! Some one told them it was my birthday that week so they all sang and gave me a cake.

Wow this email got long fast. 

Ok missionary stuff. We went to a Baptism yesterday. It was awesome! It was at someone's house in their pool cause the church is closed to baptisms. I said the closing prayer in Spanish. I actually could understand pretty much everything, it was great. The spirit was for sure there and strong. This is a man that the ZLs had been teaching.

So our friend Fransisco who was on date hadn't been responding to us so since we missed a vixit yesterday he can't be baptised on the 12th. Since we need to have 3 Sunday visits minimum. So that's a set back but we're Gunna keep trying with him. So if you could pray for Fransisco that'd be great. Juan is IDK kinda mixed signals. I think Soulo and Felix are chugging a long so ya put those 4 on your prayer list.

If you want some cool reads in the BOM, Alma 50-53 are so cool. Relatable to today. Men of God. Awesome strategy.

Thanks to all yall who have emailed me. I love reading them. Sorry I have not replyed to all. I can only reply once a week and sometimes I just don't wanna spend all p day on my phone. I figure this email should be a good update for everyone.  I have gotten some questions about the fires. They have told us to be ready to evacuate the apt if needed but I haven't so far.
