Welcome aboard everybody this is Elder Felsted speaking. Sit back relax eat some peanuts, and listen to this great typical week of a missionary serving in "The Great California Ventura Mission".  So let me explain the title of this email. Elder Ogdenn and I where talking to someone at the park the other day. After some talking about whatever, we asked if he had ever talked to missionaries before,. He said ya Mormons are supper nice, but "I told the last missionaries there's things I just couldn't give up like beer and chocolate. " I had a great birthday on Friday! We had district council that day so the whole district sang, and the District leader brought a bag of airheads, gave everyone one and the rest of the bag to me. Elder Ogden and I went to P and L burger for lunch. It was a pretty normally day except that night, the district leaders, and the trio that lives near us came over to our apartment. We had some cheese cake, brownies (from the sister/hermana...

2 For 2

So  everyone, it's been two weeks, so far so good.!  Let's start with some milagros.  #1 We put our friend Fransisco on date to be baptized September 12. When we last called him on Sunday, he said he was at the store buying hot chocolate to replace his coffee. Word of Wisdom VS sabbath day holy. We'll take all we can get, haha. He's awesome.  #2 We were going to meet with Fransisco on Sunday but when we called to confirm, he told us he was really busy. So ya that was a bumber but in the middle of comp study we got a call from Juan. Now a little back story on Juan. The last time we had seen him, Elder Ogden smelled beer on him, so we were thinking about stopping teaching him. Well when he called us at on Sunday, he asked if we could talk right then. He said he was at the park where we normally meet. So we told him give us 10 minutes. We hoped in the car and went to the park. His dameaner had dramatically changed, he was happy, interested, accepting, basically he said ...

To all of my adoring fans, This was week número uno! Monday I got up really early and went to the air port. First flight was to Phenox and then a flight to Santa Barbra. At the SLC Air Port I met some other missionaries on the same flights going to the same place. So I got to CA and the mission president and his wife took us to a churh where we met our companions and lunch and some other stuff.  My comp is Elder Ogden. He is Awesome. Our district is preaty big. 18. We've done some fun stuff together. Elder Ogden and I live with the two zone leaders. They are awesome! It's fun! So missionary work is a little different than I thought especially with our Corona rules. We can't approach people. I got to learn how to use face book. So that is a big way we try to contact people. I was talking to someone on face book and long story short I got invited to their church! I found out a rule. Only Spanish missionaries are allowed to play Soccer, so we do some of that.   This email is...

I leave on Monday, dosn't that seem weird to you? "Yes". Ya it does to me too! Do you think I'm ready? "Well duh yur ready"! Oh why thank you. So I relized something. "What". Hold on, I'll tell you. Do you know what the word Esperanza means? "no, what?" It means hope. This gospel is FULL OF HOPE! Hope of where we came from, hope of why we are here, hope, hope of where we go after we die, hope that we are not alone in this crazzzzy world, hope that we have a Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ who love us more than our little brains can comprehend, hope that when a family member passes that we will see them again, hope that one day we will have perfect bodies with no limits and no mortal wear and tear, hope that even though life gets pretty hard sometimes that "there are always flowers for those who want to see them" - life is good, hope that you will be ok., "I mean hope, sounds like a lot of hope in the church an...
