Make It A Great Day
I don't know who put time on overdrive, but they are good, time has gone FAST! Ok ya, I admit some days and some classes feel like they will never end, but looking back it's a lil ridiculous sometimes. Today marks 4 weeks of online MTC. WOW right like I'm actually gunna leave soon!
Anyway, I feel like I have come a long way from where I started, I haven't actually gone anywhere yet I'm still living in my parent's basement, but you know what I mean. I feel more confident with my EspaĆol, and with my knowledge of the gospel and how I can put them together to teach. Now don't get me wrong I know there is much more to learn, but I really do feel better about what I know and my ability to understand and speak the language, and of course the gospel in my life has grown A LOT!
So I went on a hike to Stewart Falls yesterday with my parents and my wonderful amazing cousin Yzabel! It was fun! A few people on the trail recognized my missionary tag so that was cool! If you see a missionary, say hi, make their day a little less monotonous (cause it does feel that way some times)
One of the Elders in my district got reassigned to Ventura Californi! So that's AWESOME! Unfortunately, he is not on the same flight as me and the sister in my district with a call to Ventura. But, I am pretty confident that I will see him in the field!
Entonses, I love hearing from you guys, thanks for all of the love, thoughts, memories, and advice you all have been sending! I love it it brightens my day !)
Talks: "You are not alone in the work" - Pres Eyring Highly recommended to all but especially priesthood holder 11+
"True disciples of the Savior" - Elder Terence M Vinson vry good as well
Scriptures: @ Corinthians 5:7 "for we walk by faith, not by sight" guys plz go read it, well you just did cuz I wrote in in my email so haha, but seriously this is so powerful and true for all of us, members, nonmembers that missionaries teach, etc. Alma 48:7 same chapter as my favorite verse in the whole Book of Mormon (verse 17) if you didn't already know, Moroni is my favorite Book of Mormon character! He has so much faith and he cares for others way more than himself. He is mighty and selfless. I can't wait to meet him. I'll probably be stumbling over my words, but haha ya he is amazing, I recommend you read all of Alma 48 ASAP! "1 Samuel 16:7" I'll admit, I am not super familiar with the book of Samuel but this verse goes perfectly with that theme I've talked about of "seeing others how God sees them"
Other than that I'm doing great and I'd love to hear from you whenever. Love you all!
Thanks
Elder Felsted
